Dexter a special dog 🐕with a big heart I will always remember😍
\nLooking after his family put his life in danger..
\nOwners Testimonial👩‍💻👩‍💻
\n"Our dog has become aggressive after an attempted burglary at our house before christmas and became totally out of control in and out of the house,to a point where we could no longer walk him safely. we sought some advice and was told to start considering having him put to sleep, but luckily I was sign posted to Alex, and in just the first session today Alex worked with us and our dog and within 2 hours my 10 year old daughter could walk him totally under control. Our dog is a German Sheppard rottwieler cross and he is 38 kilos and 10 months old. Alex we felt listens too us and has started to educate us as well as the dog, but in a manner of such calmness it is amazing. I would not hesitate recommending Alex to anyone who has any dog behaviour issues. He is truly amazing and looking forward to working with him more."

Dog training harness myth

The harness is a great tool for teaching your dog to pull weight, assist swimming and to encourage protection dogs for example over a short period of time. 😁
The harness is not the dog training tool to stop dogs pulling or resolve behavioural problems.🤔

When your told by your Dog Trainer/Training club it will help your dog feel more comfortable whilst you have no control whatsoever over your furry friend just remember pressure is applied constantly through your dog's chest, spine, shoulders like a musical acordion as they pull into them. No pull harnesses are even better for the dog lover who believes this amazing tool is working without applying pressure as it tightens up around your dogs chest😫

Now imagine walking with constant pressure applied to your upper body pushing downwards into your knees as you pull up to relieve the pressure as you move forward. Doesn't sound so comfortable now.🙁

So the purely positive method of walking your dog is flawed in a harness. In order to stick within the four quadrants of operant conditioning using positive reinforcement the scientific term they use for dog training as everyone did since the evolution of the first dog. You take one part of modern science to train your dog and unclip that lead and let them work out the world for themselves with no physical restraint for example lead, collar, harness etc. Your dog will be walking as mother nature intended wearing nothing at all to help you or your dog.

So when you hear the new marketing strategy which only shapes a behaviour not proofs it "force free". Ask your trainer to unclip that lead as your dog runs across the road towards whatever suits them at that time they are feeling stimulated by and show us the magic...😁
